Cooking With Kids // Valentine's Day

As Emma gets older, I really love having her help me in the kitchen. It always takes longer and it's a lot messier, but the moments together are just so sweet! We made a few easy treats for Valentine's day that were more assembling than cooking, but we won't tell her that ;)

Trail Mix

veggie straw hearts / white chocolate chips / gluten-free pretzel thins / valentine M&M's

Chocolate Pretzel Bites

square pretzels / Hershey's hugs / Hershey's white cookie cupcake kisses / valentine M&M's

Bake pretzels and kisses at 275 degrees for 3-4 minutes, add M&M's and let cool. I pretended like this was some great fine motor activity but these are actually my favorite treat.. give me all the salty-sweet desserts.

Fruit Kabobs

I put the stick (pointed side down) in a collandar for her. I realize that this looks ridiculous, but I knew she would need both hands to load her kabob!

Okay, now go get your littles hopped up on sugar! Happy Valentine's Day!
